About Me

My fascination with sound started young — as a kid, I ran around with a tape recorder, capturing my voice, music, and any sound that caught my ear, just to play it back later. That curiosity never really left me. Throughout my life, I've turned to music to shift my mood or create a specific feeling, whether I realized it at the time or not.

Before sound experiences, I had a career in IT. Driving to visit clients, I'd sing along to my favorite songs — a small ritual that helped me stay upbeat and communicate better once I arrived.

It wasn't until my 300-hour yoga teacher training, which included a segment on the use of sound, that these threads came together. That one segment opened a door, and I've been exploring what's on the other side of it ever since. Curious where that door led? Here's how it all started.

How I Got Started

My first sound experience happened during yoga teacher training, with crystal bowls. I was lying down when I felt a tingling sensation between my back and the mat. Afterward, I felt deeply rested and recharged. That moment stayed with me and pulled me toward exploring sound further.

What is a "Sound Experience"?

Most people use the terms "sound bath" or "sound healing." I prefer "sound experience," because in my experience, everyone's experience is different. Some people feel sensations move through their body. Others notice thoughts or emotions surfacing. Some drift into a deep nap, while others use the time to contemplate, journal, or spark creative inspiration. There's no one right way to receive it — it's your time, for whatever you need.

Instruments

I work with crystal and metal singing bowls, gongs, crystal pyramids, wind chimes, and an ocean drum — each bringing its own texture and resonance to a session.

What to Expect

A session runs about an hour. The most important thing is finding a position that's comfortable for you — many people choose to lie down, though sitting works just as well. I recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing pillows, a blanket (staying still for an hour can leave you cooler than you'd expect), and even an eye pillow if you like. Sessions often begin with a short guided breathing or mindfulness exercise to help you settle in.

Who It's For

Everyone is welcome, and no experience is required. Whether you're curious, seeking rest, or looking to process something, this is your time to care for yourself.
